In the article, Cowgill went on to explain that using private money prevents the
delays and uncertainties of waiting for a bank loan. Using his own experience as an
example, he pointed out that once investors have access to private money, they won't
have to worry about deals slipping through their fingers and they can make offers on
properties knowing they can proceed to closing.

"Besides the fact that private lenders are really a great group of people, they're
the very foundation of a profitable brokerage business," Cowgill said.
